I use the art of beautiful writing to turn your events into unforgettable experiences. With live calligraphy or engraving, I interact directly with your guests by personalizing, right before their eyes, the items or gifts you’ve chosen.
Each piece becomes a moment of connection, a lasting memory, and a meaningful gift. It’s a touch of bespoke elegance that elevates your event. -
Live calligraphy can incorporated to enhan a wide variety of events, such as:
corporate galas & dinners

To complement the live experience, I can also design and personalize your event stationery and décor (place cards, menus, invitations, welcome signs, signage, etc.).

Calliphanie has mastered a range of techniques that allow me to work on almost any surface. With dip pens, brush pens, engraving, or hot foiling, I can personalize glass, paper, wood, ceramic, leather, metal, textiles, shoes, food items, shells—the possibilities are endless.
In most cases, you provide the objects you’d like personalized. But I’m happy to guide you in selecting the right surfaces and techniques for your project.
-
Yes, in fact I recommend running tests whenever possible to make sure the best technique is chosen for your event.
For last-minute requests where tests aren’t possible, we’ll agree on the most suitable technique and always plan a backup option (Plan B, even Plan C) to cover every scenario.
That said, as with any handmade work, rare imperfections may occur. If an item has to be discarded, Calliphanie’s professional liability insurance can cover it.
-
Over the years, I’ve developed a wide range of lettering styles. Depending on your project, I’ll recommend those that fit best.
If you’d like me to reproduce a font, keep in mind that calligraphy isn’t typography. I can create something close, but hand lettering will always have small, human imperfections—which are exactly what make personalized pieces so valuable.
Live events often require quick execution, so complex illustrations aren’t usually possible. However, depending on your project and logistics, I can enhance calligraphy with simple drawings (hearts, flowers, stars, etc.).
-
Each personalization only takes a few minutes—time your guests can enjoy watching their piece come to life.
The total number depends on the type of objects, lettering style, and event duration. On average, I can personalize 20 to 50 items per hour.
While I can work at a fast pace, calligraphy (like athletics!) requires short breaks to keep my hand steady and every piece flawless.
-
Absolutely. Large-scale events may require several calligraphers. Thanks to my network of skilled professionals, I can put together a team for major projects.
I’m also available for multi-day events. Travel, accommodation, and meals are to be covered in those cases.
-
Of course—I love to travel! I’m bilingual in French and English and perfectly comfortable engaging with international guests. Let’s discuss the logistics and associated travel costs.
-
I usually arrive 30–45 minutes before the start to set up, meet the staff, and (if needed) prepare a few samples.
If your event requires a different setup, we can arrange a time that suits you. -
Simply reach out with the details of your event (date, location, timings, number of guests, objects to be personalized…), and I’ll send you a tailored proposal.
The earlier, the better—but I also take last-minute requests if my calendar allows.
For holiday season events, it’s best to book from September onwards.
-
Every service is customized, so rates vary depending on event duration, location, objects to be personalized, and the number of artists involved. Contact me and we’ll define the best option for you.
A 50% deposit is usually required to secure your date. Deposits are generally non-refundable, but rescheduling is possible depending on my availability. The balance is due at the end of the event.
For cancellations less than 30 days before the event, 70% of the fee will be charged. For cancellations less than 7 days before, the full fee is due.
-
Calligraphy doesn’t need much space: a small table, a chair at the right height, and good lighting are usually enough. I bring all other necessary materials, and unless otherwise agreed, I don’t require electricity.
To maximize guest experience, I recommend being placed in a visible spot where people can watch the personalizations.
-
Unless told otherwise, I dress elegantly and discreetly in black and/or white, blending in seamlessly with your event.
But since I also love color and sparkle, feel free to let me know if you’d like me to adapt my outfit to your theme. -
I dedicate significant time to ongoing training and experimenting with new surfaces, so the quality of my work always meets high standards.
A successful service is also a well-prepared one, so I’ll make sure to ask all the right questions and share key details in advance, ensuring that my presence integrates perfectly into your event.
-
With live calligraphy, you can say goodbye to disposable tote bags and giveaways. Instead, you offer guests or clients meaningful, personalized items they’ll keep for years.
Most of the techniques I use create permanent customization, and I always prioritize suppliers who develop their products with respect for the environment.
